No longer a thankless job!...

for me at least. Kenzie now says thank you without prompting and for the correct things! I consider this a great accomplishment - a 2 year old that thanks her mother and her father for things, several times daily, without any coaching. Today we went to Lake Lansing and we were so tired (and my house is spotless) so we decided to go and get some fast food for dinner and when we got home and started eating it, Kenzie said, out of the blue, "thank you dad for buying dinner"!!! She is such a sweet girl, melts our hearts all of the time. She doesn't do it all of the time, when she is in a bad mood she refuses to say it but those moods are getting fewer and fewer, thank goodness! She also knows that when she says please she gets what she wants. That makes my job a little harder, like when she wakes up in the morning and asks for candy before breakfast and when I tell her no, she says "please" and signs it at the same time, how on earth do you say no to that and not feel guilty for hours after? She is a little too smart for us, we are always on our toes, but it is so much fun to have her. We ask ourselves several times daily what would we do without her, she is such a blessing to our lives and we are so thankful for her!
