Laura is finally home! They released her from the hospital on Saturday and we are so happy to be a complete family again! She is a love! Yesterday she slept most of the day which made for an interesting night last night so we will have to see what we can do today to get her to stay awake more. Her hair is amazing, everyone is so surprised at how much she has and how dark it is, especially when they see her with Kenzie. We took her to the Dr. this morning to get a bili rubin(sp?) test done, hopefully her levels are low and she doesn't have to go back to the hospital for more light therapy, we are definitely keeping our fingers crossed!
Here she is in the NICU without her oxygen tubes taped to her face. I was so happy to see her after they took them off, the tape they use is yellow and covers her tiny cheeks so you can't see most of her face.

These are the bili lights, complete with sunglasses. I didn't know they were neon blue, it was pretty wierd to see.

Here she is at home, during her 10 hour nap yesterday. She didn't even wake up when she was hungry, I finally had to force feed her a bottle. She must have been worn out from all of the junks she had to go through at the hospital.
Kenzie was so excited to see her when we got home. She wasn't allowed in the NICU because she is so little so she didn't get to see her until she was a week old, that completely broke my heart! She has been such a wonderful helper, anything I ask her to do for the baby she is more that happy to do and she loves to hold her and tell her that she will protect her.

Kate, she is such a beauty! I am so glad that she is home and that Kenzie now gets to enjoy her little sister. I am, of course, envious of her lovely hair :)
wow! Tons of hair-love that! I am so glad she is home-yea! Kenzie holding her is just adorable!!
She is beautiful and boy is she going to have locks of hair when she gets older. I'm so glad you got her home at last. I would walk by the NICU and start crying even when I didn't have a baby in there. The same day I had my twins, another couple was having theirs but they were only at 26 weeks. I don't know how it all turned out after I left. I pray that they did well. I can hardly wait to see more pictures of your beautiful baby! (we had the billiruben (sp?) blankets at home with us, thus giving the first twins the names of "glow worms").
She is beautiful. Glad she is home with you. Kiley came home with a nice head of black hair, too. So Laura may still become a blonde at some point. If not the looks you get will be lots of fun.
